Come and experience what it would be like to be a vet / vet nurse, here at Menai Animal Hospital.  You will be working side by side with one of our senior vet nurses and will assist in the daily tasks like:

• Go on a behind the scenes hospital tour
• Learn how we feed and care for patients
• Learn how to use Veterinary equipment such as Microscopes and Endoscopes
• Take vitals such as Heart rate, Temperature and Respiratory rate
  
• Handling animals of many types
• Clip nails & learn how to groom dogs and cats
• Learn how to check eyes & ears
• Study parasites such as Worms, Ticks and Flea’s
• Learn about animal safety
• Conduct pathology tests
• Learn how to check a pet’s microchip
• Study X-Rays and see if you can guess the problem
• Learn about different breeds of dogs and cats and many more exciting things   

The experience will run from 11am – 3pm
Cost is $110.00 per child
 The days will be limited to small groups of 12.   Please bring lunch and a drink

 Vet / vet nurse for a day conditions:

1. Payment is essential to secure your booking.
2. Enclosed shoes must be worn.
3. All participants must agree to follow all instructions given by the nurse at all times.
4. Touching of any animal(s) may be permitted after instructions from the nurse and under the nurse’s supervision.
5. Menai Animal Hospital does not take any responsibility for any injuries that may occur.   First aid will be given if required.
6. You will need to sign a liability waiver for your child to attend.
7. We will need contact numbers for a parent or guardian in case of an emergency.

Upcoming sessions: July School Holidays – July 10th and 12th ages 5-9 and July 11th ages 9 to 15. Please call us to pay and book your child in. A permission slip will be emailed to you once the payment is made.
