Why board your cat with us? We have a fully enclosed cattery.  This is contained in a fully covered enclosure.  We have a double locking system so no cat can escape.  Our cats are boarded seperatley, this is very important as diseases such as the deadly FIP Virus and Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia that are transmitted through contact.  Cats who do not know each other are also more likely to fight, making the instance of cat fight abscesses higher, another reason we house cats seperately. Our cats are not housed in small cages.  They have seperate wating, sleeping and toileting area’s.  They are check by a vet nurse twice a day.  They are fed, cleaned and watered daily.
Medical help is available on the premises as our vet is on site 24hrs a day. Grooming is avaiable by arranagement and we are happy to medicate if needed. If you have any special requests for your friend we are happy to help in anyway we can.  This is a service that we provided for our clients but if you are new to the area we can give your cat a health check and sight your current vaccination certificate.  All boarders must have a mandatory F4 or above vaccination as a minimum and will be flea treated on arrival.
         

Dog Boarding

Menai Animal Hospital does not board dogs on the premises, but uses Meadowmist Boarding Kennels.  The dogs are picked up from Menai Animal Hospital in air conditioned vans and transported to Meadowmist, then returned to here at the end of their stay.

Bookings are essential and must be made early in peak seasons (Christmas, Easter, School Holidays, Long Weekends).  Clients need to first make the booking with Meadowmist, and leave a deposit with us. Details of the boarding are as follows: All dogs are provided with a trampoline bed All runs are cleaned daily with a high pressure cleaner An excellent boarding kennel (for about 120 dogs) Meadowmist caters for the old, sick or just plain spoilt dogs in their “Special Care” units. These units include heating and cooling facilities; they include single beds, heating, carpet, lounge chairs and all the comforts of home. Five star accommodation for your pets. Meadowmist has large runs 6′ X 30′ for each dog with playtime and training available.
